This series focuses on the business itself – the models, decisions, leadership approaches and long-term thinking that shape organisations over time. We are interested in how businesses operate, grow, adapt and endure; and in the people responsible for steering them.
Talks Good Business is anchored by leadership, strategy and impact. It offers considered conversations about what it takes to build good business in real terms – responsibly, intentionally and at scale.
Alongside written features, this series will expands into live conversations, seminars, and public discussions focused on specific themes such as marketing, growth, funding, leadership and sustainability.

Submission & Participation
We welcome submissions from women founders, business leaders and executives across industries who are open to thoughtful, honest conversations about their work and leadership.
This series is best suited to women who:
- are actively running or leading a business or organisation
- are willing to speak to decisions, trade-offs and lessons learned
- are willing to give insight into funding and opportunities that helped them scale
- are interested in contributing to broader conversations about business and leadership
Participation may take the form of a written feature, interview-based article, or future live conversation, depending on the format and editorial direction.
Editorial Process
Submissions are reviewed by the Director Women Independent editorial team. Selected contributors will be contacted to confirm participation and format and to respond to (additional) questions.
All responses are edited for clarity, length and grammatical coherence while preserving the contributor’s voice and intent. Director Women Independent maintains full editorial discretion over final content and publication.
